When the dynamic backcourt duo of Shane Larkin and Vasilije Micic is operating at a high level, Anadolu Efes is nearly impossible to stop.

Shane and Vasi combined for 40 of Efes’ 87 points as the reigning Euroleague champs got back on track Tuesday with an 87-72 victory over Baskonia at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, which snapped a two-game EL losing streak.

Four players scored in double figures overall, led by Micic’s 24 points. Shane tallied 16 of his own, his sixth consecutive game in double figures. He’s averaging 17.4 points per game over the last five.

After falling behind early, Efes used a second quarter surge to take a 43-42 lead at the half. Another closely contested quarter had the home team up four after three, but they pulled away in the fourth with strong defense, limiting Baskonia to just 10 points in 10 minutes to close out the 15-point win.

Efes completes a busy week of action with a Round 16 game against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday at Menora Mivtachim Arena in Israel. Tip-off is slated for 2:05 pm ET, 10:05 pm in Istanbul.
