A new calendar has been very kind to Anadolu Efes as they make a run at EuroLeague postseason contention.

Efes picked up a pair of wins this week over EuroLeague opponents, topping ALBA Berlin on Tuesday and following that with a victory over Khimki on Thursday. They have now won three straight games in EL competition, a season-best streak.

The victory on Tuesday saw Efes’ mettle tested when the visitors from Berlin took an eight-point lead into halftime. However Efes came back with one of their best quarters of the season, limiting ALBA Berlin to just nine points, while pouring in 26 of their own to take control of the game. The home team went on to an eight-point victory, 84-76. Shane tied for the team lead with 15 points, and also dished out six assists in the winning effort.

Two nights later, Shane once again tallied the magic number, 15 points, and Efes cruised to a nearly 40-point win over visiting Khimki. This time, Efes had control from the outset, outscoring the visitors handily in the first two frames to establish a 16-point lead at the break. But the third quarter was once again their best, as they held Khimki to just 10 points to put the game out of reach. In addition to his 15 points, Shane had five rebounds, five assists and two steals. Efes is now a perfect 9-0 when Shane scores at least 15 points in a game.

Efes will look to keep the good times rolling next week when they head to St. Petersburg, Russia to take on Zenit. Tip-off is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET.
