A hard fought battle between Anadolu Efes and BC Crvena came down to the final seconds, and by coming up clutch at the free throw line, Efes prevailed for their third consecutive win.

Shane Larkin posted a season-high nine assists and added eight points including a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line in the 84-83 victory in Round 17 of EuroLeague action. Five of Shane’s nine dimes went to Tibor Pleiss, who finished the game with 23 points to lead Efes. Vasilije Micic poured in 21 points, and his final two from the charity stripe with less than a second remaining proved to be the difference in the win.

Efes played great defense early, which gave them a comfortable lead after the first quarter, 31-21.

The middle frames were a different story with Crvena outscoring Efes, 47-34. Crvena’s momentum gave them a three-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, 68-65.

Efes found themselves down by six, 80-74 with just four minutes remaining, but came roaring back, led by a stifling defense that only allowed three points in the final minutes. On the other end, Micic scored 11 of his 21 points in the fourth and his clutch performance helped seal the comeback win, 84-83.

Efes will be on the road for their next EuroLeague match when they take on BC UNICS on Thursday, December 30 at Basket-Hall Kazan in Kazan, Russia. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. local time in Istanbul, 11 a.m. ET.
