Analodu Efes got off to a rocky start to the Euroleague season, but since Shane Larkin returned at the end of October, the ship has been righted.

Despite being short handed, Efes took down Crvena Zvezda on Thursday in definitive fashion; the final score, 75-64, made the contest seem far closer than it ever was. As he has done over the past month, Shane continued to improve, scoring a team-high 18 points en route to Efes’ fifth win in six games.

The key run in the game came in the third quarter. As Euroleague recounted:

After watching Zvezda chop a 14-point deficit down to 3 points in the second quarter, Efes shook loose of the hosts. Chris Singleton, James Anderson and Adrien Moerman all drained triples in a 3-17 surge that turned a 45-50 game into a 48-67 blowout.

Shane’s five assists pointed to the difference in the contest—Efes’ ability to move the basketball. As the highlights below show, time and again, Shane dished to open teammates who made Crvena Zvezda pay.
